Major is a movie helmed by Sashi Kiran Tikka and is focused on the story of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who died in the Mumbai terror incident of 26/11.

Major was originally scheduled to hit theatres on May 27. However, for unexplained reasons, the release date has been shifted somewhat. Adivi Sesh revealed the new launch date today, April 27.

“Slight modification in date!” Sesh wrote beside a new poster. A WEEK LATER, THE SUMMER HEAT WAVE is released in theatres. It’s the 3rd of June! Around the world, #MajorTheFilm #Malayalam: #Hindi: #Telugu #MajorSandeepUnnikrishnan #MajorOnJune3rd

Adivi Sesh maintains a solemn stare on the poster, which shows the scar on his forehead. Terrorists set fire to the Taj Hotel in the backdrop.

The movie is based on Major Sandeep’s voyage from childhood, adolescence, and golden years in the service to the horrific events of the Mumbai attack, where he was slain, and is traced, touching on various elements of his personality.

Like every movie, this movie also suffered a lot of delays due to the pandemic situation.

Sashi Kiran Tikka wrote the biopic Major. Sony Pictures India, G Mahesh Babu Entertainment, and A+S Movies are collaborating on the project. Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam are the three dialects in which the movie will be released. The titular character in the movie will be played by Adivi Sesh.
