Yesterday only, at the age of 24, Gully Boy rapper MC Tod Fod aka Dharmesh Parmar passed away. He was a well-known Mumbai street rapper with a penchant for Gujarati rhymes. In the 2019 movie Gully Boy, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, he was one of the music artists. Ranveer shared an image of Dharmesh on his Instagram stories and also added a broken heart emoji on his Instagram story.
Dharmesh Parmar died at the age of 24 in a devastating piece of news for the entertainment industry. For those unfamiliar, MC Tod Fod was one of the musical artists for Ranveer Singh, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Alia Bhatt’s 2019 film Gully Boy. While the reason for the 24-year-old rapper’s demise is unknown, his untimely passing has triggered a wave of mourning throughout Tinseltown.
In the midst of all, Siddhant has resorted to social media to express his sorrow at the death of MC Tod Fod. The Gehraiyaan actor posted a photo of the late rapper on his Instagram account, along with a picture of his post-Gully Boy interaction with MC Tod Fod. During their talk, Siddhant praised MC TodFod’s Gully Boy single India 91. To this, the latter was overwhelmed and told Siddhant, “You are a very real brother..I really thought you were a rapper because of your energy!” Sharing the conversation, Siddhant wrote, “RIP bhai! @todfod” along with a heartbroken emoji.
Ranveer Singh had already expressed his sorrow at the death of MC Tod Fod by posting a photo on his Instagram story with a broken heart emoji. MC Todfod’s band Swadeshi also released a video clip of him and left an emotional statement for the late rapper, saying, “You will indeed live through with your music.”
