On Saturday, Big boss fame Ajaz Khan was taken to court from the office of Narcotics Control Bureau in connection with the Batata gang drug case. The NCB officials picked Khan from Mumbai airport on Tuesday (30th March). On Friday night, NCB conducted raid at a TV actor’s Lokhandwala residence as well.

On 31st March, former Bigg Boss 7 contestant Ajaz Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on charges of alleged drug supply and consumption. He was under custody of the NCB for the past 3 days. On Saturday (3rd April), Khan was spotted on the way to the court for the hearing of the case.

The actor, who was under remand till Saturday, has now been taken to the court for further process. Khan is accused of being associated with the Batata gang and his involvement in the drug transaction.

On 30th March, Ajaz arrived at the Mumbai airport from Rajasthan. On his arrival, he was served a notice by the NCB officials who later took Khan to the NCB office for interrogation. He was questioned for 8 hours, followed up by his arrest. The actor’s houses in two areas of Mumbai were raided after which NCB found 4.5 grams of Alprozol pills at his place. Ajaz said that the anti-depressant pills were taken by his wife who had slipped into depression after a miscarriage.

NCB has also conducted a raid at a TV actor’s residence in Lokhandwala, Mumbai on Friday night. NCB said that it seized drugs and is currently looking for the actor and a woman of foreign nationality who lived with him. The actor and the woman left the house minutes before the raid.

Ajaz had pleaded innocence and has reiterated that he has been wrongly framed in the case. He refused of being a part of any drug syndicate or even knowing narcotics peddler Shadab and Farooq Batata.Ajaz Khan is known for his work in TV shows like Rahe Tera Aashirwaad and Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki. He was also part of the reality shows like Bigg Boss season 7, Comedy Nights with Kapil, etc.
