In Ali Abbas Zafar’s next film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff will reunite for the first time in an action-packed teaser posted on social media. The film has the same title as the 1998 classic, which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda in the lead roles. It will be released on Christmas Day 2023. However, it is uncertain whether or not it is a remake. The background music for the release announcement is the title track from the 1998 picture. The first film was a comedic escapade, whereas this one is billed as a “action entertainer.”

Tiger is seen rappelling into an underground facility and battling some armed guards with his firearms and martial arts skills in a two-minute video shared by both Akshay and Tiger on Instagram. At the same moment, we can see Akshay confronting the guards in a different part of the institution. Soon after, the two run into each other. When Akshay inquires about Tiger’s purpose for being there, the younger actor responds in Hindi, “I am here to announce my film.” When Akshay learns that his film’s release date is set for Christmas 2023, he says it would conflict with his schedule. Then Tiger says Chote Miyan is his film, and Akshay says Bade Miyan is his, before Akshay adds, “Saath aayega (Will you do it together)?”

The two join hands at this point, while the original film’s theme music plays in the background. “The year you arrived in this world, I debuted in films,” Akshay captioned the video on Instagram. Chote Miyan, phir bhi muqabla karoge? Full-on action chal phir ho jaye. (Do you still want to compete, little one? Then let’s get down to business.)” “Double Action, Double Dhamaka!!” Tiger also captioned the video.

The announcement was met with generally enthusiastic responses from fans who expressed their eagerness for the film. In a response, Tiger’s sister Krishna Shroff said, “Year of the Tiger has finally here.” “Woah, can’t wait,” a fan wrote.

There have been rumours that the two actors will team together for a remake of the 1998 movie. However, a report published by the sources said that the films simply share a title and that this is not a remake. Pooja Entertainment, owned by Jackky Bhagnani, is producing the film.
