The actor opens up about his journey in the TV industry, his character, and the serene beauty of the show’s shooting location. Television has the power to take viewers on a rollercoaster of emotions, and for actor Anil Avhad, his debut TV show “Keh Doon Tumhein” (KDT) is not just a thrilling adventure but also a cherished milestone in his career. Portraying the character of Shreyas in this intriguing series produced by Vajra Productions, Anil shares his thoughts on this exciting journey.
“The title ‘Keh Doon Tumhein’ is quite unique, and from Vikrant’s point of view, it perfectly suits the narrative around what he wants to confess to Kirti,” Anil shares. It’s also my first TV show, so it’s very special to me. After spending a significant time in the world of theater, stepping into the TV industry has been a momentous transition. My family and friends are delighted to see me on screen, and it’s a mix of emotions – nervousness and excitement,” he adds.
Anil’s character, Shreyas, is portrayed as intelligent, curious, ambitious, and deeply dedicated to his work. His dream is to pursue a forensic science course in a prominent city and work in a reputable forensic department. It’s a fascinating role, and I’ve put in extra effort to understand the character. In fact, I even created Shreyas’s investigation file by hand to delve deeper into the character. Being an architect, it came naturally to me. There are many aspects of Shreyas that I can relate to in real life. I’m ambitious in reality too, and I genuinely love this character. I hope the audience enjoys Shreyas as much as I do,” he shares.
The backdrop of “Keh Doon Tumhein” provides a picturesque setting. Filmed in the serene landscapes of Panchgani, the location offers a unique blend of tranquility and beauty. Anil mentions, “Panchgani is a special place. The environment is incredibly peaceful. During our breaks, we often find ourselves on our balconies, soaking in the breathtaking view. Shooting here brings a different vibe, and everyone is relishing it. The climate is just right – neither too hot nor too cold, and the minimal traffic ensures a sense of peace.”
Speaking about his collaboration with Vajra Productions, Anil expresses his excitement, saying, “This is my first project with them. As a Marathi production house, I was aware of their work and aspired to collaborate with them. I’m thrilled about this opportunity, and everyone is incredibly pleased with the experience. My hat’s off to the team at Vajra Productions for their dedication.”
“Keh Doon Tumhein” has garnered positive responses from the audience, something that Anil takes great delight in. It was a challenge to break the mold of typical saas-bahu daily soaps, and I hope people continue to love our show. The entire team has poured their heart and soul into this project.”
The television industry has evolved over the years, and Anil acknowledges this transformation, stating, “The TV industry is changing, and viewers have become more discerning about content. Audiences have matured and can differentiate between what’s authentic and what’s not. The more realistic and relatable the content, the more it resonates with them. Audience tastes have evolved too.”
The daily soap format demands hard work and patience, but for Anil and the KDT team, the experience has been gratifying. The magnificent location and our fantastic team make the hard work feel like a rewarding adventure,” he concludes with a smile.
As “Keh Doon Tumhein” continues to captivate audiences, Anil Avhad’s enthusiasm and dedication promise a thrilling viewing experience, making his debut in the TV industry truly special.
