After several waits owing to the pandemic, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha have finally got a new launch date. Today, Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom18 Studios declared a new release date as Baisakhi, April 14th, 2022 that caught the chemistry between Aamir and Kareena, who previously appeared as a romantic couple in movie 3 Idiots. The movie is originally scheduled for a Christmas 2020 release, and was supposed to hit the theatres on Valentine’s Day 2022.
The actress also took to her social media handle and posted a picture, where she can be seen keeping her head on Aamir’s shoulders and wrote, the team is very happy to share our new release date and poster. However, the movie will now clash with Bhediya which stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sano and Yash starrer KGF 2. These both films are slated to release on April 14, 2022.
The movie is produced by Viacom 18 Studios, Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, and directed by Advait Chandan. This movie is the remake of the Hollywood hit Forrest Gump stars Tom Hanks and Robin Wright. The film was in production, out of the blue the shooting halted because of a pandemic.
In 2019, Aamir announced about this movie and said that he always loved Forrest Gump as a story. It is an incredible tale about this character. It is a wholesome story. It is the best film. The love story spans different periods of the journey of the main lead. It will be released in theatres worldwide.
