Mrunal Thakur tested positive for COVID-19.
Actress Mrunal Thakur, who was promoting her forthcoming sports drama titled ‘Jersey’ with actor Shahid Kapoor, tested positive for COVID-19. With the number of cases on the rise, several Bollywood celebrities have succumbed to the deadly virus. Mrunal revealed on her Instagram stories that she has isolated herself since receiving the diagnosis.
The actress began the New Year on a gloomy note after being diagnosed with COVID-19. In a statement, the actress stated that she has isolated herself and is experiencing only mild symptoms for the time being. She even asked people who had recently contacted her to get tested as soon as possible.
Jersey, Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming sports drama, was scheduled to be released on December 31, but it was postponed due to the rapidly increasing cases of the deadly coronavirus and its new variant, Omicron. The film, which also stars Mrunal Thakur, is a remake of Nani’s critically acclaimed Telugu film of the same name. With the film being postponed indefinitely, rumours about it being released on the OTT platform began to circulate. Despite the fact that the creators have yet to announce a new release, many speculated that the creators would eventually opt for an OTT release.
Arjun Kapoor tested positive for COVID earlier this week. Despite the actor’s lack of a statement, the sources confirmed the news. Not only Arjun, but also his sister Anshula Kapoor, tested positive. Both are currently isolated after BMC workers sanitised their homes.
Aside from them, designer Rhea Kapoor and her beloved spouse Karan Boolani both were also tested positive for COVID-19. The designer, who is also Anil Kapoor’s daughter, confirmed the news on her Instagram story.
