Right after the Maharashtra Government announced the opening of theatres, all Bollywood’s filmmakers and producers have been busy locking release dates and picking the best festive occasion for the releases of their movies.
Earlier, the makers of Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Adipurush’ had slated the release of the film on 11th August 2022. And now, according to the latest reports, the makers of Akshay Kumar’s starrer ‘Raksha Bandhan’ have also confirmed the releases of their films on the same day as ‘Adipurush’.
Adipurush is directed by Om Raut, the film also stars Kriti Singh and Sunny Singh in the lead along with Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan and is a period drama. The movie will be released in five languages; Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
Raksha Bandhan is directed by Raanjhana fame director Anand L Rai, and stars Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles.
