After the announcement of the reopening of the cinemas was made by the Maharashtra government, all the filmmakers and producers are now going ahead with the theatrical release of their movies, and are locking up dates, there seems to be no chaos in the maker’s mind to whether give the film a digital or a theatrical release, all of them are heading straight up towards the big screen.
Joining the plethora of revealing release dates now, are the makers of Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. The film is all set to be released theatrically on 6th January 2022. Alia went on Instagram today to announce the same.
The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial was initially slated to release on 30th July, but owing to the pandemic the date got pushed. The film is produced by PEN India Ltd, and the storyline revolves around the life of a simple girl named Gangubai from Kathiawadi, who later on becomes the most powerful, loved and respected woman. The protagonist is played by Alia Bhatt.
