The streaming rights to superstar Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise has reportedly been sold for a large sum. Today, the picture, which was a super hit in 2021, will be available on Amazon Prime Video. Pushpa broke box office records and paved the stage for more regional films to take over Bollywood. Many large producers are pursuing the film’s hero, Allu Arjun, to do a Hindi feature.
The film, which wowed audiences, has proven to be a box office powerhouse and continues to rule the box office.
From today, Amazon Prime Video will broadcast Pushpa; the OTT platform announced it on January 5. According to the sources, Amazon Prime Video paid roughly Rs 27-30 crore for the streaming rights to the film.
The film has a worldwide gross of more than Rs. 300 crore. The Hindi dubbed version has shocked everyone by grossing Rs. 70 crore in just 20 days. The film will now be available on Amazon Prime Video not only in one language but in four languages: Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, starting from today. One can watch the movie on the OTT platform if they haven’t seen this movie yet in the theatres.
While the South versions will be released today, the filmmakers have reportedly asked the OTT platform to delay the release of the Hindi dubbed version since they believe the film will perform well in the Hindi belt. Pushpa has fared significantly better in Hindi theatres than many of last year’s Bollywood blockbusters.
Allu Arjun is now considered a pan-India sensation, and his Hindi belt fans are eagerly anticipating his Bollywood debut. Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna is set to make her Bollywood debut in the film Mission Majnu, which also stars Sidharth Malhotra. In the film Goodbye, she will be featured alongside Amitabh Bachchan.
Mahesh Babu, a Telugu actor, took to his twitter and recently appreciated the movie and said, Allu arjun as Pushpa is gorgeous, innovative, and spectacular. A stellar performance by Aryasukku, who once again proves that his cinema is raw, rustic, and credible. A cut above the rest.
