Modern Love, the international blockbuster show, is getting a local adaption on Amazon Prime Video. Modern Love: Mumbai, Modern Love: Hyderabad and Modern Love: Chennai will be released in three Languages of India: Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The show will adapt tales from the eponymous column, among each episode aimed at taking viewers on a heart touching path of trying to discover love through stories of various human emotions ranging from love and romance to self-love, parental love, love for one’s companions, and love born of gratitude, amongst many others. In 2022, the anthology series will premiere.

According to sources who previously revealed, Amazon Prime Video is beginning to work on a rom com anthology that will feature six distinct and widely acclaimed Hindi film directors. Hansal Mehta (Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story), Vishal Bhardwaj (Haider, Maqbool), Alankrita Shrivastava (Lipstick Under My Burkha), Anjali Menon (Bangalore Days), Shonali Bose (The Sky Is Pink), and Dhruv Sehgal (Little Things) have joined the streaming giant to direct six different stories about the pleasures and sufferings The venture is an Indian translation of Amazon Prime Video’s hit American anthology Modern Love, which was influenced by true personal stories from the famous New York Times weekly column.
Authentic love stories set in India will be included in the Indian version of the John Carney anthology. Only the idea and name from the American anthology have been retained, and the film will contain new stories set in various locations of India. This enormous venture will feature a cast of well-known and brilliant performers who will explore love in all of its manifestations.
