Taapsee Pannu and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Annabelle Sethupathi have premiered today on Disney+Hotstar Multiplex. Here is a quick review of the multilingual movie and what you can expect from the film.
The movie is directed by Deepak Sundarrajan and is an accurate movie for the kids to watch. The film is basically a fictional horror-comedy that requires no logic or brain and hence will be a perfect time pass for those little ones in your family. Since the film’s target audience are kids this came as a surprise for many viewers as Tamil filmmakers generally produce movies that are suitable for youngsters and grownups.
For a change, the ghosts in the movie do not harm or torture anyone. Their only wish is to come out of the big palace where they have been trapped for ages. Unfortunately, whoever visits the palace and eats the food on the day of Pournami turns out dead and they end up joining the ghosts themselves.
The movie is made by keeping the children in mind so if you as an adult want to watch the movie surely go ahead but you will end up wasting your time and will find the movie to be illogical and boring. Not a lot of movies nowadays are made for kids so it’s nice to see that Tamil filmmakers are focusing on those little children.
Talking about the performance of the entire cast, every character played their role exceptionally well from Yogi baba to Vijay and Taapsee. They have lived up to the characters. Other actors in the movie are; Radhika, George Maryan, Rajendra Prasad, Madhumidha and Subbu Panchu who are brilliant with their comedy timings.
While the first half of the movie is going to make your stomach hurt from laughter, the second half falls comparatively flat. But, the climax sequence makes up for that.
To wrap it up, Annabelle Sethupathi is an absolute kid-friendly movie.
