Rajat Bedi the famous villain of Bollywood who got recognised for his acting in Rakesh Roshan’s Koi Mil Gya has made it to the headlines after decades and not in a good way, Rajat allegedly hit a man with his car on Monday evening around 6:30 when the actor was returning back to home from work. The victim, Rajesh Ramsingh Doot is said to be in critical condition and has been admitted to Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital.
According to the reports, as soon as the victim got hit by the actor’s car, Rajat immediately took the victim to the hospital and also promised to help with his treatment.
In a tweet made by ANI, they stated; “Case registered against actor Rajat Bedi in DN Nagar PS for allegedly hitting a person with his car in the Andheri area. The actor brought the injured to Cooper hospital, where he (actor) told he had hit the victim with his car. Victim admitted to hospital: DN Nagar police”.
The doctors treating Rajesh said that the victim has now been shifted to the ICU and is on oxygen support. They further said; he has got severe injuries on his head, has lost lots of blood and is in critical condition. In a statement made to the Mumbai Police by the victim’s wife, Babita Doot reported; My husband was drunk when the accident took place he fell and hit the back of his head and suffered severe injuries, Rajat Bedi did get admitted my husband to the hospital and gave his word to help with the treatment but he left after few minutes and never came back”.The Victim’s wife demanded to get the actor behind bars immediately.
FIR has been filed against the actor under Motor Vehicles Act. However, no arrest has been made till now.
