The first-ever Chandigarh horse show was held at “The Ranch” in Mallanpur, outskirts of Chandigarh from October 29th to 31st.
It is a kind of event that aims to promote equestrian sports. In this event, more than 100 horses across the country took part and a total of 21 events took place.
Miss India 2014 and actor-model Alankrita Sahai, Rajinder Khosa, Aashna Vinod Gupta, and Gursher Singh Badal were also present at the show.
Chandigarh SSP Kuldeep Chahal inaugurated the show. As per an Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) guidelines the competitions were held.
Gurnazar Chattha, a popular singer said, It is a very unique show that promotes the people’s love for horses and he is looking forward to more such events in the upcoming days.
Noted lyricist and producer of Bunty Bains also congratulated Alankrita and her team for putting lots of efforts to make the event successful and amazing.
Harshvardhan Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Kulwinder Billa and Freddy Daruwala were also a part of the event.
Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Former Punjab minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa, SSP Chandigarh Kuldeep Chahal have also attended the event.
Meanwhile, the teams from Chandigarh Police, Indian navy, Gurgaon Horse Club, Vardhinand Horse, PAP Punjab, Budda Dal School, and many others participated in the show. The show offers a carnival experience with horse riding, games for kiddos, food stalls, and many more.
PPS Nabha riders won medley relay gold while Javed khan came second and Anmoldeep Singh came third. The trainees of CHRS won a total of 20 medals. In the open show jumping Abhisek Chopra won a gold medal.
