Vasudha Rao (Lara Dutta), a 39-year old single parent is residing with her teen girl Kay also known as Kavanya Khatter (Shinnova) at her responsibility phobic more youthful sibling Akhil Rao’s (Prateik Babbar) home. The series investigates sexual adventures of Vasudha, Kay, and Akhil as the three of the them manage their heartfelt connections with various individuals.
In the wake of being undermined and as of late separated, Vasudha is meant to get back in the dating game through ‘Kechup’, the dating application established by her sibling. Empowered by her sibling and her companion Fatty also known as Fatima (attempted by Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra’s cousin Meera Chopra), Vasudha’s quest for easygoing sex prompts insane undertakings. In the interim, her defiant girl Kay is confused in her dating life and Akhil is battling to begin a consistent relationship.
What hangs out in the whole series is the kin relationship divided among Prateik Babbar and Lara Dutta’s characters. Their unfiltered discusses dating and relaxed sex are the feature of this satire show. Set in Bengaluru, the series attempts to advance solid conversations on sex and connections, the secretive subjects in the Indian families.
The series is helmed by Kunal Kohli who has prior directed fruitful heartfelt shows, for example, ‘Murmur Tum’ and ‘Fanaa’. Lara Dutta and Prateik Babbar are splendid as the sister-sibling couple and match each other well. Shinnova as Kay dazzles in her presentation. Mukesh Chhabra, famous projecting chief who has given for the series a role as indeed, adds the humor in the show as Lara’s boss. Indira Bisht’s composing is successful and layered. Sneha Khanwalkar, who has created for films like ‘Posses of Wasseypur’ and ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye is awesome as the music director for the series.
Lionsgate Play’s first Indian unique is an endearing story focused on current dating and connections across two ages. ‘Hiccups and Hookups’ begins gushing on the Lionsgate Play stage from November 26.
