HIT: The First Case, featuring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra in lead roles, is now on big screens. The movie is an adaptation of a Telugu film of the same name, and Dr. Sailesh Kolanu was the original filmmaker. The show’s storyline is straightforward; it centres on the life of a detective named Vikram (Rajkummar Rao), who is attempting to solve the kidnapping case of two young girls, one of whom also happens to be his love interest. He has, nevertheless, also been struggling with the strain and trauma of his own history at the same time. Who knows what it is?
The way a simple thriller tale is conveyed is what makes the movie so effective. The movie’s premise is nothing spectacular or mind-blowing, but the manner in which it was helmed and delivered is extremely commendable. The creators were careful to include aspects of enjoyment and action. The movie not only keeps you interested the entire time, but it also gives you some laughs in between. Serious societal concerns have also been brought up in a few moments. It’s also important to observe that none of these features appear jarring or forced in the script.
In the film, Rajkummar Rao is brilliant. It was touted as the entertainer’s aggressive on-screen persona prior to the movie’s release, but after seeing the movie, you’ll see that there is much more to it. The movie is a delight for fans of Rajkummar. He may be sensitive and intense in the same scene, but funny and too smart at other times. His command of Rajasthani would also amaze you. You may identify Rajkummar’s role with any police officer you have ever met or seen while watching the film. The actor will undoubtedly need to put in a bit more effort in situations when he is intended to be emotional.
Speaking of the movie’s screenplay, it is pretty predictable. To a certain extent, you can predict what’s going to happen in the next scene. Nevertheless, the movie manages to keep everyone interested. The movie resembles Kunal Kemmu’s online series Abhay a lot, too. Both Abhay and Vikram, the two main characters, share a number of traits. These two are detectives working on homicide or kidnapping cases. Both of them are plagued by their history.
HIT: The First Case concludes with a revelation and a declaration that a sequel will also be released since several issues and mysteries remain unresolved.
