Making Remakes is Vogue in Bollywood, Now the Bollywood is coming with another remake of the famous film of 1982 ‘Arth’, which was directed by Mahesh Bhatt, and has starred Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Smita Patil and Shabana Azmi in the lead. Basically Arth’ is a semi-autobiographical film.
It has been reported earlier that Sharat Chandra has roped in South filmmaker Revathi to direct this remake. It has also revealed that the makers of this remake have also approached the beautiful actress Jacqueline Fernandez for this film.
A source close to the development said: Revathi has been working on the script for a while, besides the prep, before starting on the casting. “Now, with that in place, the makers reached out to Jacqueline recently and she really liked both, the concept and her role. She is really excited to be a part of the remake of an iconic film like ‘Arth’ and has given her verbal consent to the part but is yet to sign on the dotted line,” informs a source.
Earlier in an interview, Jacqueline said: She is taking acting classes in Los Angeles and wanting to get experimental with her roles. While she did not want to get away entirely from commercial cinema, as an actress, she did want to discover herself, do things a little differently, adding to the stuff she has done before. “Now, it’s all about balancing the two,” and looking forward to scripts that will take her out of her comfort zone.
Jacqueline will portray the role of a woman, who Inder falls in love with and because of whom he ultimately decides to break his marriage. And it would be one of the best roles of her career.
On work front she is seen in the Netflix film, Mrs Serial Killer, that would be directed by Shirish Kunder.
