It might be difficult to comprehend, but Kangana Ranaut has chosen to file a lawsuit against Filmfare magazine since they invited her to their awards ceremony and wanted to recognise her for Thalaivii. In a message posted to Instagram, Kangana outlined her reasoning.Kangana used an Instagram Story to convey her message. “I’ve prohibited unethical, dishonest, and completely unfair practises like @filmfare since 2014, but I’ve been receiving numerous calls from them this year asking me to attend their award ceremony so they can present me with an award for Thalaivii. I’m shocked to learn that they are still electing me. I have chosen to sue @filmfare because it is below my integrity, work ethic, and moral framework to support such corrupt behaviour in any way, she added.
For her performance in Thalaivii, Kangana is nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role alongside Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon, Parineeti Chopra, Taapsee Pannu, and Vidya Balan. Raj Arjun, who costarred with her in the film, is also a nominee in the Best Supporting Actor category. In the Best Costume Design category, Neeta Lulla and Deepali Noor received a nomination, and Unifi Media received a nomination for Best VFX.
In addition to Filmfare, Kangana demanded a boycott of the Oscars and the Emmys after they failed to honour Lata Mangeshkar with an In Memorium tribute. “We must take a firm stance against local prizes that call themselves international but purposefully overlook and marginalise renowned musicians because to their race or ideas. Neither the Grammys nor the Oscars paid honour to Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar. Ji, our media should utterly reject these slanted local events that pose as international competitions “On her Instagram Stories, Kangana remarked. We should reject these snobbish western prizes, she added in her letter. Well Kangana keeps her stance directly and had been involved in many such matters. Lets see what will be the outcome and when will Kangana sue the Filmfare awards.
