Karan Johar hosted ‘Koffee With Karan’ which is one of the most prominent chat shows in India. Numerous celebrities have visited the famed and infamous sofa, ranging from B-town stars to cricketer celebrities to South movie stars. It was announced that the programme would be cancelled for good after its last season made headlines for all the wrong reasons. However, it has recently been reported that the filmmaker is planning a return to the show with an upcoming season.
Karan will finish key portions of his forthcoming directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in May, according to sources. Following the completion of the movie’s current schedule, Karan will begin work on his talk show. The show’s pre-production is said to be in full swing, with filming set to begin in mid-May. According to reports, the show will premiere on the Star network in June.
The show is likely to be a celebrity occasion, with the industry’s who’s who slated to attend. The show will feature Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani, and many others. Rashmika Mandana, who is poised to make her Hindi film debut with Mission Majnu, will also make her first appearance on the show. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, the newly married couple, will also make their first on-screen presence after their marriage on season 7 of Koffee with Karan.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi feature in Karan Johar’s upcoming film. On February 10, 2023, the film will be released in movie theatres. Karan is also financing forthcoming films such as JugJugg Jeeyo, Brahmastra, and Liger through his Dharma Productions label. Among others, Govinda Naam Mera.
