Kartik played the role of a journalist who was torn between his conscience and his work in this film, which was directed by Ram Madhvani. This is the actor’s first time playing a grey role, and he was praised for it. The actor is currently filming Shehzada, the Hindi version of the Telugu film ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’. The actor will play the same part as Allu Arjun in the original film.

He said that it just happened that the concept of the movie ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’ appealed and was loved by the whole team. Rohit (Dhawan) has put his own twist on it. There have also been a few adjustments, which he should not be discussing. However, it will give everyone the feeling of an entirely new film while keeping the essence intact. So he is just too thrilled to make this movie. It’s something he has never done before, and it’ll put him in a brand-new light. With this film and subsequent projects, he will be doing action for the first time. So he is pretty much excited about that.
For the film, Kartik will reunite with Kriti Sanon. They have previously collaborated on the romance drama Luka Chuppi. Kartik Aaryan answered that it’s really superb and an excellent experience working with Kriti Sanon while he was asked about his experience of working with her. He also further said that she is really a brilliant actor, and he always admired her work, even before he met her on the set of Luka Chuppi. And as soon as they both started working on Luka Chuppi, they both became immediate friends. Finally, with Shehzada, they are collaborating once more. They just wrapped two Shehzada schedules, and he had a great time shooting with her as always. As a result, he is looking forward to seeing more schedules.
