Filmmaker Ketan Mehat who has developed some amazing movies in the past like Bhavni Bhavai and Mirch Masala recently talked about his 1993 film, Sardar, which was a biopic on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Here’s what the filmmaker had to say.
Seeing how well the biopics ate doing at the moment, recently, a question was asked from Ketan Mehta on whether he is planning on a more intricate biographical drama on the life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. To which the filmmaker answered that he still remembers, he started shooting for the film Sardar in 1989, and the movie was released in 1993, he has always been interested in stories that revolve around Indian history. That film and the story is extremely close to his heart.
He further revealed that, maybe someday he might visit the life story of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He feels that as a filmmaker you are always learning and experiencing new things.
