Filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, who will be directing the movie Merry Christmas, which stars Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles, recently made a revelation that initially he wanted to cast Salman Khan in the movie opposite Katrina Kaif.
As revealed by various sources, Sriram’s first choice for the male lead in the film was Salman Khan from the very beginning. The filmmaker was of the opinion that Salman Khan was perfect for the role. However, the actor’s team were not at the same place as Sriram, Salman’s team thought that this movie was too small for a megastar like him, hence they declined the offer.
Salman’s team also revealed that the actor absolutely admires Sriram’s work and would love to work with the director, but Merry Christmas was not the right film, he is waiting for a movie that’s big and more on the commercial side.
On the work front, apart from Merry Christmas Sriram is also working on Varun Dhawan starrer Ekkis which will go on floors in February 2022
