Ek Villain Returns, the long-awaited followup to the 2014 hit Ek Villain, will now be released on July 29, 2022. The movie was initially set to be released on July 8. Ek Villain Returns is helmed by Mohit Suri and created by T-Series and Balaji Telefilms. It features John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, and Disha Patani.
“Ek Villain was my dream project and an effort of love,” filmmaker Mohit Suri said in an announcement. The amount of affection I still get for Ek Villain astounds me. With Ek Villain Returns, I’m sure the affection will just become stronger. While I can’t say much about the movie, I can guarantee you that it will be a fascinating rollercoaster journey.”
The filmmaker stated in an interview with the sources, “The girls also portray villains in this movie.” Me and Ekta are attempting to create an entire cast of villains and protagonists that are all interconnected.”
Half Girlfriend, Aashiqui 2, Murder 2, Zeher, and Kalyug are among the movies helmed by Mohit Suri. John Abhraham’s initial cooperation with the filmmaker is Ek Villain Returns. Arjun Kapoor previously collaborated with Mohit Suri on the film Half Girlfriend. In Mohit’s most recent film, Malang, Disha Patani portrays the leading lady.
The movie is a follow-up to the 2014 movie Ek Villain: There’s One in Every Love Story, starring Shraddha Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, and Riteish Deshmukh. It chronicled a criminal’s excursion after his terminally sick wife was assassinated by a brutal serial killer. According to the previous reports, entertainer Aditya Roy Kapur was originally cast in the character played by Arjun, but he later dropped out owing to artistic disputes with Mohit Suri.
It’s worth noting that Ek Villain Returns will now compete at the box office with Thank God, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh.
