Neetu Kapoor’s forthcoming flick, ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo,’ is sure to thrill audiences on the big screen. Her first film since the sad death of her husband, Rishi Kapoor, is this one.
After her husband’s death in 2020, Neetu Kapoor has decided to come back to work full time. The 63-year-old performer is preparing for the launch of Jug Jugg Jeeyo, in which she stars with Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Kiara Advani. The movie’s trailer, helmed by Raj Mehta and produced by Karan Johar, was unveiled today.
Neetu claimed in an interaction with a news outlet that she would always be occupied while her spouse was alive, whether it was with his trips or at home. His children, Ranbir and Riddhima, however, urged her to do something other than remain at home after he died. Karan Johar handed her a part in the Raj Mehta-directed film at this time. The actress revealed that she was on board with the project as soon as she heard the screenplay.
When asked about the difficulties of returning to the camera after over a decade, Neetu said she had little confidence when she began filming for the movie after Rishi Kapoor’s death. Even though she worked up a lot of guts to get into her skin, the seasoned actor was always afraid of making a mistake and anything going wrong. Neetu acknowledged that she was uncertain about everything.
Finally, the actress stated that returning to work helped her overcome her melancholy, and that filming for ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ was a healing experience for her.
Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Maniesh Paul, and Prajakta Kohli also feature in the movie. On June 24, 2022, it will be released in theatres.
Neetu Kapoor, one of the greatest celebrities of the 1970s and 1980s, retired from acting at the age of 21 after marrying Rishi Kapoor in 1980. She has only acted in a few films after then, including Do Dooni Chaar and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. She last appeared in Besharam (2013), with Rishi Kapoor and his son Ranbir Kapoor.
