Ishaan Khatter, Priyanshu Painyuli and Mrunal Thakur upcoming war drama ‘Pippa’ to launch next year on December 9th, 2022
The upcoming new venture ‘Pippa‘ which stars Ishaan Khatter is all set to hit the big screens on December 9th, 2022. On Thursday the makers of the movie announced the release date. The movie is directed by prominent director Raja Krishna Menon who got the fame for the movie ‘Airlift‘.
As the nation celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Indo-Pak war-1971 on Thursday, Kapur’s Roy Kapur Films and Screwvala’s RSVP shared the launch date of the upcoming new venture on social media platforms.
RSVP took to their official twitter handle and tweeted that, On the 50th Vijay Diwas anniversary, they are saluting the courage of the Indian warriors who battled to liberate Bangladesh 1971 ‘PIPPA’ releasing on big screens on Dec 9th 2022,”
The similar tweet was shared by Roy Kapur Films on their official Twitter handle that, The movie is based on the book named ‘The Burning Chaffees’ written by Brigadier Mehta. Its title is carried from the Russian amphibious war tank called the PT-76, very well known as ‘Pippa’.
Actor Ishaan also shared the picture on his Instagram handle and wrote, “Blood sweat and tears. In the midst of filming, this is one the best and great filming experiences for him so far.”
He also added that they are putting lots of effort in the work to bring an honest, visceral and factual story of bravado and sacrifice, but also fellowship and brotherhood to the big screens for each and everyone. And lest he forget – the story is of an army family navigating a war. December 9th, 2022. Save the date.
