The creators revealed on Tuesday that Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan’s Ramayana adaptation Adipurush will be released on January 12, 2023. The much-anticipated mythical epic was formerly scheduled to hit theatres in August 2022. Fans will, however, have to wait another five months to see their favourite performers on the big screen together. In an Instagram post, filmmaker Om Raut announced the new launch date to the fans. Adipurush will be launched in 3-D over the globe.
In an interview with the sources, Raut discussed his idea for the upcoming film, as well as how Telugu star Prabhas joined the production, making it a pan-India endeavour. Raut stated that he only shared three scene outlines with the actor, who was impressed enough to invite him for an in-person encounter. Prabhas decided to do the movie after Raut flew from Mumbai to Hyderabad. The show’s finances are expected to be around Rs 400 crore, making it one of India’s most pricey films.
Adipurush is set 7000 years ago, and all the “touch points” are the same as in the Ramayana, but with current narrative approaches. Prabhas’ avatar isn’t called Rama in the movie; instead, he’s called Raghav, which is another name for Rama. Kriti Sanon’s Sita is called Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan’s Ravana is called Lankesh, both of which are Ramayana names. Adipurush actually means first guy, although it’s more commonly translated as “best man”, she further added.
Adipurush, billed as a visual spectacle, is intended to be a visual treat for VFX aficionados. It’s also been said that Adipurush’s graphics will have tripled the VFX of the Baahubali series, which stars Prabhas. As a result, there are a lot of hope. Adipurush experienced a few hiccups at first. Due to the pandemic, it was also postponed several times. Many of Prabhas’ movies require extensive post-production, which leads to delays.
Apart from Adipurush, the actor will be seen opposite Pooja Hegde in the forthcoming flick Radhe Shyam. It will be released on March 11th. He’ll also appear in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit and Prashanth Neel’s Salaar, opposite Shruti Haasan. He’s also starring alongside Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in Nag Ashwin’s Project K.
