Make a sequel on Ajay Devgn’s starrer Raid
On Tuesday, Producer Kumar Mangat Pathak announced the second part of his 2018 movie Raid, which stars Ajay Devgn as a male lead, and said the narration will be based on the true story of several raids on perfume trader Piyush Jain’s factory and house in Kannauj and Kanpur. The filmmaker was speaking at the first edition of the Film Festival in Varanasi during the panel meeting.
Kumar Mangat Pathak, who has backed films like ‘Khuda Haafiz’ and ‘Drishyam’ said, he has decided to shoot ‘Raid 2’ which will include the scenes of money pouring out of the walls, similar to what happened at Piyush Jain’s house.
The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) raided Jain’s home in Kanpur and his factory and house in Kannauj on Sunday recovering over 25 kilograms of gold, 250 kilograms of silver, and Rs 257 crore in cash.
On Monday, the Finance Ministry said it is the biggest ever by the Enforcement Agency. The trader was brought before a metropolitan court number 10 under heavy security and the court ordered him to Judicial detention for 14 days.
‘Raid’ starring Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz, and Saurabh Shukla, is based on a real-time income tax raid on Sardar Inder Singh in the 1980s conducted by the Income-tax Department. The film was loved by audiences and let’s see how much response the Raid sequel will get.
The raid of the 1980s distinguished itself as it lasted for three days and two nights and it was the longest raid in Indian history.
