Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan, who already returned to the set of Pathan, helmed by Sidharth Anand and starring Deepika Padukone, in November 2020. The majority of the film was shot in Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai, and the crew plans to use cutting-edge technology to blend the footage at real locales. It’s been about 14 months since it went on floors, and according to reports, about 25 days of filming are still waiting.
For everybody the movie Pathan has been a taxing film because, despite all the planning, the shoot kept getting delayed for one reason or another – ranging from the Covid scare to personal life issues to injuries, a source said, adding that the team is now aiming to finish the film by March 2022.
If Pathan is finished by March, Yash Raj Films will finish the post-production process in four to five months and release the film by the end of 2022. As a result, Salman Khan’s Tiger 3, which also stars Katrina Kaif, has been postponed. While Tiger 3 shoot began in March 2021, it was envisioned as a picture that would appear three months after Pathan, the source revealed. With minimal delays caused by the 2nd wave, Tiger 3 was filmed almost without interruption. The film will now be completed by January 2022, and since it was shot in real places, there won’t be any VFX work required. The final cut of Tiger could be released by Summer 2022, but Pathan is the catch.
Now, Aditya Chopra is readying to launch the movie Pathan on 2nd of October and Tiger 3 on the time of Christmas, but only time will tell what happens next. Another delay in the release of previously scheduled films might change everything, as both blockbusters could be pushed to 2023.
Meanwhile, the Pathan delay has already hampered the production of Sidharth Anand’s next venture, Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.
