A note threatening the life of actress Swara Bhasker prompted Mumbai police to launch an investigation. The anonymous letter, according to reports, was sent to Swara’s Mumbai home. The entertainer Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan had earlier received a letter with a threat.
According to a report, the note was sent to Swara’s residence in Versova. After receiving the letter, Swara allegedly went to the Versova police on Monday and lodged a complaint against an unspecified number of people. He continued, “We have documented a non-cognisable offence against anonymous persons,” adding that the inquiry is still underway.
The rumour claims that Swara was threatened as a result of her alleged insult of activist and political figure Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, also called as Veer Savarkar. The note, which was penned in Hindi, reportedly declares that Veer Savarkar’s slur will not be accepted by the youth of the country.
A few days following Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder, Salman Khan and his father both received death threats. Salim Khan’s security team outside their Mumbai home near the Bandra Bandstand seafront, where Salim goes for his daily morning jog, found the note. “Moosa Wale jaisa kar dunga” was written in the letter, meaning “Might very well make you like Moose Wala” The warning was directed at him.
Eventually police observations indicated that Lawrence Bishnoi was the leader of the team that sent it to Salman. The note was written in order to scare the artist and set up a situation in which they could assert their power, as per the Maharashtra Ministry of Home Affairs.
Sidhu was shot to death on May 29 in the Jawaharke region in Punjab’s Mansa district by unknown assailants. Sidhu was travelling the 4 wheeler SUV that had been targeted with his cousin Gurpreet and his pal Gurvinder. Both had been shot, and they needed surgery the next day.
