Actress Taapsee Pannu has acknowledged that she has star spotting while around sports celebrities. She is preparing to depict the life of renowned Indian batter Mithali Raj to the silver screen.
Taapsee stated this when describing her passion for sports: “Sports stars have me awestruck. I didn’t see many films while I was growing up until I went to college, but I have always been a sports fan.”
Added her: “As a result, I am usually awestruck whenever I encounter a sports celebrity, which is accompanied by the immense respect I feel for each of them. When a sports celebrity is nearby, I make sure to stay inside the lines and refrain from being my regular bubbly self.”
On July 15, “Shabaash Mithu” will premiere on big screens. The legendary captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, Mithali Dorai Raj, is the subject of the movie, which was penned and helmed by Priya Aven and Srijit Mukherji.
In her 23-year profession, Mithali has guided India to 4 World Cups and has scored 7 straight 50s in one-day international matches. The narrative follows her development from an 8-year-old kid with a goal to a legendary cricket player.
On Monday, the Shabaash Mithu trailer of Mithali Raj’s biopic was unveiled. Taapsee Pannu plays the lead in the movie, which follows the ascent of an Indian cricketer. Fans and people of the movie industry have praised and shown love for the trailer. The cricket community has now also taken notice. On Monday, the renowned cricketer Sachin Tendulkar praised the trailer on social networking sites.
One of the best cricket players to ever play the game is largely considered as Sachin. Nine years after his retirement, the majority of the milestones he established during his 24-year tenure as an international cricket batsman still remain. He has been awarded the Bharat Ratna.
Over the course of a two-decade profession, Mithali, like Sachin, has been among the best cricket players in the world. The former Indian captain is deemed as India’s greatest female cricket player, and during her profession, which began in 1999, she broke numerous international records.
