Seven portions make up the feature-length movie Tell It Like a Woman. The pieces were filmed in Italy, India, Japan, and the United States and were directed by women from various countries. Drama, comedy, docudrama, and animation are among the genres.
It is a star-studded female-driven movie. The original track, Applause, which Sofia Carson sang in the movie, was penned for the soundtrack by famous composer and 13-time Oscar winner Diane Warren. It will be made available as a single through Disney Music Group label Hollywood Records later this year. Carson, a vocalist and actress, appeared in an accompanying music video that was helmed by Catherine Hardwicke.
The endeavour is the outcome of a partnership with Chiara Tilesi’s production firm, We Do It Together, a non-profit organisation that promotes gender balance. Andrea Iervolino, Chiara Tilesi, Lucas Akoskin, and Monika Bacardi are the producers.
This winter, Samuel Goldwyn Films intends to launch the film in theatres while preparing for awards season. Peter Goldwyn and Julie Sultan, President of ILBE’s AMBI distribution firm, negotiated the agreement.
