After the Maharashtra Government announced theaters to open Sooryavanshi is the very first movie to hit the big screens.
The rules of the Shettyverse that started with the movie Singham in 2011 and continued through Singham 2 and Simmba remain unchanged.
And now, Rohit Shetty’s much-awaited movie starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, Sooryavanshi is an action movie which was initially meant to be released in the month of March.
However, there would be no other way for viewers to come back to the movies. The directing plot of Rohit Shetty is not as different as we hear news of terrorist attacks every day in different parts of the nation, but when it comes to Mumbai 93 explosions or 11/26 2008, which is totally unforgettable for everyone and the cast in the stone as the Mumbai cop pledge to safeguard truth above anything.
The movie is all about the danger to Mumbai and the resolution of that DCP Veer Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar), Mumbai counterterrorism brigade head, and his team spring into action. The film deals with the terrorist activities of a militant group whose leader, Omar Hafeez (Jackie Shroff) has seen underground comedy throughout the film and he does not feel forced at all.
And also the lady lead, Katrina Kaif looks stunning and mesmerizing on screen with her sultry moves on the iconic song “Tip Tip Barsa Paani” are undoubtedly noteworthy, but you can’t help but think of the original Bollywood “Mast Mast” girl, Raveena Tandon.
The whole 145 minutes of the movie contains the extended climate action sequence. It comes after numerous persecutions by Sooryavanshi and Shetty’s serious history lesson on the connection between riots and terrorism. Ranveer Singh jokes, Ajay Devgn single-handedly dominates three terrorists and Akshay Kumar practices his martial arts moves. Katrina Kaif, as Sooryavanshi’s long-suffering wife Ria, lurks in the background to remind us that she’s also part of the cast.
Even though IMDB have given an average ratings of 5.5 out of 10 and Indian express rated it 2 out of 5, perhaps the statics say a completely different story where the audience seems to be loving the movie and given it exceptional ratings which can be estimated by the movie’s earnings of 30 crores on the very first day of hitting the box office.
