Vicky Kaushal has booked another powerful role after establishing a name for himself with Sardar Udham. In Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur, he will play Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The actor announced on Instagram that he has started preparing for his future flick.
Vicky Kaushal is recognised for his ability to create enchantment on screen. Following Sardar Udham, we’ve been eagerly waiting for the entertainer to demonstrate his acting talent once more. The wait appears to be over, as the actor revealed that he has begun filming on his new feature, Sam Bahadur. In the film, he will portray Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. He added, “Here we go. “I always had heard countless stories of Sam Bahadur from my family who came from Punjab and have experienced the 1971 war,” Vicky Kaushal said in a statement about the movie. “But when I read the script, I was utterly swept away.” He is a warrior and nationalist who is still revered and adored today, and I am committed to conveying his essence in the film.”
“He was a trooper’s warrior and a gentleman’s gentleman,” Meghna Gulzar remarked. Men like Sam Bahadur are no longer. I’m really honoured to be portraying his story alongside Ronnie Screwvala and Vicky Kaushal. His narrative has been given a name in honour of the Field Marshal’s birth anniversary. “I couldn’t be more pleased.”
Sam Manekshaw served in the military for 40 years and five conflicts. He was the first Indian Army commander to be elevated to Field Marshal, and his military success in the 1971 Indo-Pak war resulted in the establishment of Bangladesh.
Vicky Kaushal and Meghna Gulzar previously collaborated on the film Raazi in 2018. A film about, Indo-Pakistan War during 1917, a Kashmiri woman chose to tie the knot with a Pakistani military officer in order to spy on Pakistan.
