Aditya Chopra was firm with his decision not to let any of his movies get a digital release, because he was of the opinion that all the projects under the Yash Raj Banner deserved a theatrical release.
Now, since the Maharashtra Government has passed an official notice about the opening of the theatres in Mumbai in the month of October. All of the big banners are announcing the release dates for their movies back to back.
According to the reports, Yash Raj Films have also announced the release date for four of their biggest films including; Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee starrer Bunty Aur Babli 2 which will hit the theatres on 19 November, Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chhillar, Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood will release on 21 January 2022, Ranveer Singh and Shalini Pandey starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar to be released on 25 February 2022 and Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt starrer Shamshera will have its theatrical release on 18 March 2022.
Earlier, news of Aditya Chopra turning down a humongous offer of 400 crores for the release of 4 films by an OTT platform did rounds.
