OTT platform ZEE5, has set a new benchmark as it reportedly becomes the first-ever digital platform to premiere a Punjabi film on an OTT platform for the first time.
The first ever Punjabi film to premier on a digital platform is titled ‘Jinne Jamme Saare Nikamme’. The movie is backed by Baweja Studios Film, and will premiere on ZEE5, this year’s Dussehra, on 14th October.
The project is directed by Kenny Chabra and is produced by Harman Baweja and Vicky Bahri. The movie features Jaswinder Bhalla, Seema Kaushal, Binnu Dhillon and Pukhraj Bhalla in lead roles. The Punjabi venture is helmed by Naresh Kathooria, and gives a strong message with the film while also making the audience laugh. The film also stars Bhumika Sharma, Marinder Singh, Armaan Anmol and Deepali Rajput in pivotal roles.
Recently, ZEE5 had announced one of its campaigns named ‘Rajj ke Vekho’ which basically includes a number of Punjabi movies, web series, originals and shows. Several Punjabi stories which have already premiered under the campaign are; Puaada, Qismat 2 and Fufad Ji, all of which are seeing great success.
‘Jinne Jamme Saare Nikamme’ will premiere on ZEE5 under the same campaign. The makers of the film are extremely excited for the grand premiere of the movie on ZEE5.
