A great shock for everyone and especially for the fans of Deep Sidhu, a Punjabi actor who hit the headlines during the farmers’ strike, passed away in a road accident near New Delhi today after his vehicle collided with a parked truck trailer.

The actor was on his way to Bhatinda from New Delhi. He was carried to the hospital after the accident but due to heavy injuries he died on the way to hospital. As per reports, His body has been admitted to the Sonepat Civil Hospital for an autopsy.

According to latest information, the accident occurred on the Western Peripheral Expressway near Haryana’s Kharkhoda. According to reports, a fellow female passenger in the car escaped the collision.

Last year, the actor-turned-farm activist made headlines for his role in a violent Republic Day tractor protest in the nation’s capital on January 26, which left several people wounded.

On February 9th of last year, the Delhi Cops arrested Deep Sidhu from Karnal, Haryana, in connection with the rioting at the Red Fort during the Republic Day tractor parade. Deep Sidhu was accused of inciting a bunch of farmers to storm the Red Fort on Republic Day in protest of the disputed agriculture rules.

A video of Sidhu speaking in English went viral in December 2020, propelling him into the limelight. Deep Sidhu was seen pretending to be a farmer and declaring that the farmers’ protests will be a major turning point in not just India’s but also South Asia’s geopolitics. According to Sidhu, these farmer rallies were nothing but revolution. Sidhu also cautioned the officials, alleging that they were unaware of the depth of the issue and that “revolution” (protests) will define the nation’s and South Asia’s geopolitics in the upcoming years.
