Citadel, the eagerly awaited action-spy thriller, will release on Friday, April 28, with two heart-pounding episodes. Thereafter, a new episode will be released each Friday through May 26, according to the first-look images released by Prime Video. The Putin Brothers’ AGBO and showrunner David Weil executive produce the historic, high-stakes thriller, which stars Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Stanley Tucci, and Lesley Manville.
Intriguingly, the image of Richard Madden studying a screen that reveals details about Priyanka Chopra’s protagonist Nadia Sinh in the first glimpse images features a QR code that directs viewers to the series’ hidden teaser. “Citadel collapsed eight years ago,” the logline says. Agents of Manticore, a sizable syndicate that subtly controls the world, destroyed the independent global espionage agency, which was in charge of maintaining everyone’s safety and security. Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) and Elite agent Mason Kane (Richard Madden), who have just been spared death by Citadel’s fall, have their memories erased. Since then, they have gone unnoticed while creating new identities and new lives. Up until one night, when Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci), a former colleague at the Citadel, locates Mason. Bernard asks for Mason’s assistance in stopping Manticore from imposing a new global order.
In an effort to prevent Manticore, Mason tracks down his former partner Nadia. The two spies then set out on an international mission while navigating their secretive, deceptive, and dangerous love relationship.
