The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has a reputation for being inequitable and demanding unwanted edits. However, the CBFC has been liberal on occasion, particularly when the context or subject of the movie is understood. One such movie that has avoided the censorship scissors is Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which will be launched on May 13th.

According to the sources, the CBFC has given Jayeshbhai Jordaar a clean bill of health. “The movie is focused on the heated subject of female infants,” according to insiders. In another scene, the lead entertainer, Ranveer Singh, is shown threatening to harm or kill himself. Director Divyang Thakkar, on the other hand, has handled the movie in a non-objectionable way. Even the upsetting subject of female infanticide was presented in a sarcastic manner. As a result, there was no justification for the CBFC to request that any image or conversation be removed. They handed the movie a clean U/A without requesting any cuts.”

Surprisingly, Jayeshbhai Jordaar was granted a censorship approval on February 17th. The movie’s duration is 124 minutes, according to the certificate. To put it another way, the movie is only 2 hours and 4 minutes intotal.

The exhibitors were overjoyed. “Jayeshbhai Jordaar is one of the shortest B-town movies in a long period of time,” a source in the exhibition industry remarked. Except for John Abraham’s Attack, all of the big movies launched after the third wave of covid were longer than 2 hours and 20 minutes, including Gangubai Kathiawadi, Badhaai Do,  The Batman, Heropanti 2, The Kashmir Files, Jhund, Radhe Shyam, Bachchhan Paandey, RRR, KGF – Chapter 2, and Runway 34. Various movies, including RRR, The Batman, Jhund, and others, ran for nearly three hours. When films are long, it becomes difficult to handle shows.”

In addition to Ranveer Singh, Jayeshbhai Jordaar also features Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah, as well as Shalini Pandey, who made her acting debut in Arjun Reddy (2017). Yash Raj Films produced the movie.
