Following the success of Satyameva Jayate and Batla House, John Abraham’s acting earnings have consistently increased. The actor joined Aditya Chopra’s Pathan for a sum of Rs. 20 crores, and just months later, he signed another feature film, none other than Ek Villain Returns.
The actor decided to join Mohit Suri’s project for a hefty Rs. 21 crores, according to our sources. “His market rate in the B-town has been expanding – the sum paid for the movie Batla House was enormous than the movie Satyameva Jayate, the sum he got for Satyameva Jayate 2 was higher than Batla House, the amount he received for Ek Villain Returns was higher than Pathan, and ultimately, his fees for Ek Villain Returns are higher than Pathan.” John’s acting fees have risen from Rs. 7 crores to Rs. 21 crores in the previous three years, according to a source.
In July 2022, Ek Villain Returns will be released in theatres, just in time for Bakri Eid. He stars in the film alongside female leads Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria. It’s the follow-up to Mohit Suri’s huge hit Ek Villain, which starred Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, and Shraddha Kapoor. Following the completion of the shoot, the film is currently in post-production.
John Abraham is now filming Pathan and will next begin production for filmmaker Sajid Khan’s upcoming comedy, which will be set in London.
