The unique monochrome teaser for the upcoming movie Bheed exposes the lead protagonists of the story, which centres on the battle faced by the underprivileged during the country wide lockdown in 2020. This comes after a heartwrenching video clip that played the movie’s subject matter. Actor Rajkummar Rao posted the trailer on Instagram. Caption of the post was “A catastrophe that established borders inside the nation and its citizens.”
The new teaser begins with views of how migrant labourers travelled in crowded trains, buses, and even on walking to reach their communities during the government’s statewide lockdown, which completely halted all ongoing non-essential activities and deprived the impoverished of their means of subsistence.
Rajkummar can be heard saying, “We went to the cities as there was no employment in the village, and we came back as there was no employment in the city,” in the background. There is never a plan for the underprivileged.

Following that, there are brief flickers of Kritika Kamra as a journalist at Ground Zero. Ashutosh Rana as a policeman driving a jeep. Rajkummar Rao as a police officer dressed in uniform and riding a bike. Additional glimpses of Dia Mirza on the verge of collapse. Bhumi Pednekar as a healthcare professional, and Pankaj Kapur. Rajkummar chases a person on foot as the intriguing teaser comes to an end.
Bheed was shot in black and white by director Anubhav Sinha. Director has tried to establish comparison between the country’s lockdown and the 1947 Partition. This tale is about individuals whose lives were abruptly altered and whose colours were erased when the country’s boundary was drawn, according to Anubhav.
It will definitely be unique to see Anubhav Sinha’s direction establishing a comparison between partition and pandemic. Undoubtedly, people have suffered in a pandemic. Having such a tale on the big screen will spread awareness about that time to a large number.
