The 2009 smash hit 3 Idiots, starring Kareena Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, and R. Madhavan, has stoked rumours of a sequel. She has expressed scepticism about a sequel being produced without her consent. After seeing a popular image of Aamir, Sharman, and Madhavan from a “press conference” in which they hinted at a comedy-drama sequel, stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Boman Irani, as well as Jaaved Jaaferi went to their social media accounts on Friday and posted some videos.
3 Idiots: Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Kareena posted a video of herself discussing the above press conference on Instagram while she was on holiday in Africa with Saif Ali Khan, Jeh Ali Khan, and Taimur. Shockingly, she claimed, “The mystery that this trio are withholding from us is represented by the press conference film that is currently making the rounds. Please refrain from claiming that they are there to promote Sharman’s movie because I believe there is something suspicious going on. These are clever, in my opinion, for a sequel. This definitely has the odour of a sequel.” She said in the closing of her video that she will be calling Boman Irani.
Veteran actor Boman Irani soon rushed to Instagram shortly after Kareena published the video and posted a tape in which he remarked, “All you guys are doing is already public knowledge, and the footage has gone viral. How could a “3 Idiots” sequel ever exist without Virus? (played by Boman). It’s helpful that Kareena called to let me know. I never would have known. It is unfair to prepare something of this magnitude without even providing us some notice. Are you this despicable? Where are we buddies anymore? I believed we were close.” Adding that he was contacting actor Jaaved Jafferi, he concluded the video by saying.
3 Idiots: Jaaved.
Jaaved released a video on his Instagram after Kareena but also Boman and showed his unhappiness in the situation. Without the original Rancho, a sequel to 3 Idiots is being produced. I mean, really? He was Chote, and I was the real Rancho.” In the end, he inquired into the matter with actor Mona Singh.
