Superhit Dostana pair of John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan is all set to feature in an upcoming movie which will be a remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum.
Actor producer John Abraham acquired the Hindi remake rights of the Malayalam hit film, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, in March. The original film starred Prithviraj and Biju Menon in the lead and was directed by late Sachy. Ever since John got the rights, fans were wondering, which actors will be featuring in the Hindi version of the movie.
From a very long time, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan wanted to collaborate and were looking for the right project to feature together. Now reports suggest that the two actors have started a conversation to collaborate on the remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The two will soon get the paperwork done.
This pair was last seen in the movie, Dostana which released in the year 2008. Fans showered a lot of love on this pair and loved their chemistry.
After Dostana’s release, the duo was looking for a good project to work on, but nothing worked out. According to reports, they wanted to work together on Dostana 2. This also did not work out as the script didn’t shape up well. Now audience will be seeing a completely new cast in the dostana franchise. The new cast consist of Janhvi Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan and Lakshya.
Last year, John featured in Romeo Akbar Walter, Batla house and Pagalpanti. Abhishek starred in Amazon Prime Video’s Breathe: Into The Shadows, and Ludo, directed by Anurag Basu.
Meanwhile, Ayyappanum Koshiyum released in 2020, right before the lockdown was announced. The story revolves around the dispute between Koshy Kurien (Prithviraj), an influential and wealthy ex-Havildar and Ayyappan Nair (Biju Menon), a Sub-inspector in Attappadi. The movie turned out to be a huge success.
Fans are already excited to watch this duo’s chemistry back on the silver screen.
