The much anticipated shows The Lord of Rings: The Rings Of Power, reveals the first look of the upcomming season. Walking through Numenor is something Wayne Che Yip will never forget. A important site in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, the director was one of the numerous artists who contributed to bringing J.R.R. Tolkien’s mythical island to life. Yip and the showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay collaborated closely with production designer Ramsey Avery to help sketch out every nook and cranny of the coastal capital, which had never before been portrayed on television. Yip didn’t really appreciate the size and complexity of the island, though, until he arrived on location: the cast and crew had effectively constructed a complete beachfront city from the ground up, stone by stone. He felt completely transported to Middle-earth as he walked through the small passageways and past the ship parked in the harbour.
According to Yip, “being on set was really amazing.” “We stayed there for weeks, but every day I would discover a fresh element that I had never seen before, such as graffiti engraved into aged stone or a tiny shrine. The entire wall was constructed of oyster shells. There was just so much storytelling around every bend. The Rings of Power, an expansive new epic from Amazon Prime Video, is anchored by that storytelling and that level of obsession with detail (debuting Sept. 2). The series is a bold new story that aims to reinvent fantasy television, as well as an extremely ambitious chapter in one of the most cherished franchises of all time. The Rings of Power is predicted to have cost well over $1 billion, making it the most costly TV show ever produced. In addition, the series is subject to the examination of millions of enthusiasts who have spent the last few decades reading Tolkien’s works (and rewatching the beloved Peter Jackson film trilogy.)
Well fans are excited as this particular series has a massive and huge fan base.
