Writer K Vijayendra Prasad is responsible for some of South Indian cinema’s biggest blockbuster movies including son S S Rajamouli’s mega-hits Baahubali and RRR. Vijayendra, who also wrote the Salman Khan hit Bajrangi Bhaijaan, has now stepped in to save Karan Johar’s long-awaited, massively over-budgeted Brahmastra. The film, helmed by Ayan Mukerjee and starring Ayan Mukerjee’s friend Ranbir Kapoor, will be released on September 9th.
Ranbir Kapoor asserts that K Vijayendra Prasad made a significant contribution to Brahmastra; then latter claims, “I haven’t done anything.” He states that Vijayendra is not even taking the credit he deserves. Ranbir Kapoor has further disclosed that Vijayendra Prasad was brought in as a consultant to make adjustments to the picture, and that those improvements have increased the film’s inherent value significantly.Vijayendra Prasad, as usual, downplay his involvement. “Ranbir Kapoor is being overly generous. I haven’t accomplished much. When something is cooked and someone is requested to taste it, it is similar to a meal. The taster may advise that the food be salted more. Brahmastra was displayed to me and I was asked for my thoughts. All I did was season the food with salt” Vijayendra stated.
However, word among Karan Johar’s circle is that Brahmastra’s climax has been changed at Vijayendra Prasad’s request. Vijayendra, on the other hand, denies making any major alterations to the picture. “All I’ve done is tighten some nuts and bolts.” Please don’t give me too much credit for some of the product refinement ideas I offered. Ayan Mukerjee has created a fantastic film. It’ll be a hit and the kids would love it” Vijayendra stated. Brahmastra has been into news even before release. There are speculations that Brahmastra will be a world wide release and is ready to be clashed with movie of other industries too. Brahmastra also has the presence of Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna.
