The movie on Afghan rescue crisis titled Garud is the most anticipated and the talked film currently. The movie has got on board the a very famous and crtically acclaimed international director titled Rotem Shamir for the direction purpose of the movie. Rotem is well known for films like Fauda and Hostages. He will be making his Bollywood debut with Garud. Garud is based on genuine incidents from the Afghan rescue mission. Garud is a dramatised version of the rescue mission in Afghanistan, centered on the tale of an officer in the Garud Commando Force, an Indian Air Force special forces outfit. The team had earlier gave a sneak peak in the movie by releasing the motion teaser.
Ajay Kapoor Productions and Vikrant Studio will collaborate on the project. Ajay Kapoor, who has backed films like Parmanu (2018), Romeo Akbar Walter (2019), as well as being associated with Baby (2015) and Airlift (2016), comes back to the same vicinity with his forthcoming films Attack and Garud, teaming up with Subhash Kale after their previous collaborations on Roy (2015) and All Is Well (2016)
Ajay Kapoor, when asked about the project, said, “Subhash and I have known each other for a long time and have been friends for many years. When he approached me about Garud, I was immediately drawn to the story and jumped on board. We are looking forward to mounting the story on a wide scale to give due credit to the script, since the film relates an encouraging, patriotic tale with a powerful emotional link.”
Subhash Kale went on to say, “Garud is a really meaningful project for me; I’ve been working on a story like this for a long time, and I’m thrilled that it’s now coming together with such a talented producer as Ajay Kapoor. It’s a passion project for me, and I want to give it the greatest treatment possible; we’re looking for a global look to the picture, with real-life events as inspiration.”
