For her daring selections of roles in films, Meera Chopra is well-known. India’s first asexuality-focused film titled Super Woman is her upcoming venture. When asked about her opinion on Super Woman, Meera cited “The script really piqued my interest. In India, people have not heard of the word ‘asexual’ and hence people find it difficult to convey something to their peers. I found startling figures about the incidence of forced marriages and suicides of asexual women while doing research for the movie. It is ominous! We hope that “Super Women” will provide those who are suffering to express their true feelings to society with a glimmer of hope. All the superwomen out there defying social expectations are honoured in Super Women. Every woman may rule the world, whether she identifies as “sexual” or “asexual.” We are no longer the ‘weaker’ sex. A woman is termed as the greatest blessing and one should not classify or judge her based on her sexuality. Our film makes a stunning case that a woman is valuable regardless of her sexual orientation. During my study, I was horrified to come across documentaries that denigrated women as nothing more than sex objects.”
Well, Meera has kept adding to her achievements for a long. Her recent film Safed got its first look unveiled at Cannes Film Festival. The movie was helmed by Sandeep Singh. Meera expressed the same by citing “For us, it was a peculiar and overpowering event. In addition to representing our nation and the revolution in Indian cinema, we were wearing the badge. The film “Safed” is a heartwarming portrayal of the hardships widows and transgender people endure daily. Our movie’s first look was unveiled by A.R. Rahman, which added to its specialness”
Golden Ratio Films’ Chief Operating Officer, Piyush Singh, shared his opinions by saying, “GRF is known for making movies that the general people can relate to as a production firm. Super Woman is a unique work of cinema that illuminates a subject that will strike a chord with discriminating viewers.
