Speaking of Ashram the webseries has caught over the attention of everyone. The third season of Prakash Jha’s well-liked television series Aashram features 10 more episodes featuring the self-described godman Baba Nirala. Officially, the television show is now known as Ek Badnaam…Aashram, probably to appease some people. The play still insults the intelligence of the audience despite the title change.
Aashram is a crime drama/thriller at its core, yet it proceeds slowly. The show is formulaic and corny with a tone that belongs in the 1990s and lacks any sense of excitement. Only some of the principal cast members’ performances can save it.
