The news of Nana Patekar’s return to Hindi films has generated a lot of interest. We recently learned that Nana would make a comeback with the social thriller The Confession. The info that Nana Patekar and Prakash Jha will collaborate on the sociopolitical drama Laal Batti has finally been confirmed by the certain reliable sources and the team members itself.
After the 2010 film Raajneeti, which featured an ensemble cast that includes Ranbir Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Manoj Bajpayee, Ajay Devgan and Katrina Kaif, the two will collaborate once more. Prakash Jha was contacted by some sources but he declined to comment. When the sources contacted Nana Patekar, he confirmed the news and responded with a succinct but clear “I am doing it.”In the online series Laal Batti, Nana will portray a politician, and the plot will examine politics’ shadowy side. He last appeared in a Hindi movie opposite Mahie Gill in Wedding Anniversary, and the same year he also made a brief appearance in Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again.
Speaking of Prakash Jha the director has a very well versed name in the industry. He has made several socio political dramas and had also directed films on different issues. His greatest ventures include Apaharaan, Satyagraha, Rajneeti, Jai Gangajaal, Pareeksha, Damul and Saandh Ki Aankh. Prakash Jha’s recent Ek Badnam Ashram featuring Sunny Deol got premiered for it’s new season. On the other hand Nana Patekar is also a very renowned name in the industry.
