Southern Star Dhanush Asuran has added another feather to his hat by winning the award National Film Awards, he won won the Best Actor Award for his film “Asuran”at the BRICS Film Festival.
The actor is now celebrating another big victory in the film, writing that it is an absolute honor for him to win the award.
The BRICS Film Festival was held in parallel with the International Film Festival of India. Earlier On Sunday, November 28 when 52nd edition of IFFI reached to its closing ceremony, the 6 awards from the BRICS film authorities were also announced on the platform.
Dhanush, who recently won the national award for the film, seems to be pleased with this honor. His portrayal of a raw and naive farmer reportedly brought him an award in an emotionally charged film.
The actor went to the handle of his social media and announced the news of his big win. He shared the poster and wrote “absolute honor”.
When his fans celebrated his victory, his heartfelt wishes fell on the actor. While someone called him “KING FOR A REASON,” another wrote, “You deserve this Anna.” This was the first time the BRICS Film Festival was held with IFFI.
The BRICS Film Festival has films from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Dhanush recorded his social media speech and expressed his excitement for receiving national honor.
The actor said he was even more excited to win the award on the same platform that his father-in-law and legendary star Rajinikanth won the Dada Saheb Phalke Award.
Earlier, he has shared a photo with Rajinikanth and wrote, “I couldn’t put it into words to win the National Best Actor Award on the same stage that my Taliver won the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award.
