Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri frequently uses social media to discuss movies, politics, and other topics. The latest tweet from the director of The Kashmir Files appears to be a jab at the two most prominent Khans in Bollywood, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.
The filmmaker used Twitter to retweet a BBC News (World) article praising Shah Rukh Khan’s prolonged prominence as the “king of Bollywood.” Vivek Agnihotri responded to the post by saying that as long as there are Kings, Badshahs, and Sultans, the Hindi cinema business will continue to decline.Shah Rukh, who is frequently referred to as King Khan, featured in the 1999 movie Badshah. In 2016, Salman starred in the lead role of the movie Sultan. Vivek Agnihotri didn’t mention the actors by name, but his allusions to their well-known movie and memoir titles suggest that his tweet may have been intended as a subtle jab at them. Both King and Sultan of the industries are gearing up dor their upcoming projects and are expected to be seen together in each other’s venture. Salman Khan has already performed his part in Pathaan and Shahrukh is also suppose to be seen in Salman Khan’s Tiger 3. Salman is working on Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali and Shahrukh on the other hand is making a come back like never before. He has Jawan and Pathaan in making.
